Van Heerden amped-up for Arrows clash

Van Heerden spent eight years with AmaZulu and had the stadium in KwaMashu as his home for several years where he also got to be involved in plenty Durban Derbies against Arrows.

He will now be returning there with Pirates for the first time having made his last visit in October last year during his brief spell with Chippa United.

“Princess Magogo was my home ground for a very long time,” he says.

“I played Arrows there in many derbies and we know that Arrows is an exciting team, a lot of talented players and a lot of pace upfront.

“So going to Princess will bring good memories but in saying that you are playing for Orlando Pirates now and you’ve got to put that behind you and focus on the job at hand and that is to win the game and progress through to the final.”

Sunday’s game will kickoff at 15h00.
