FIFA President Gianni Infantino has reportedly left the Women’s World Cup after just one week to travel to Tahiti. This comes after his attendance at every game of the men’s tournament in Qatar. Despite previously stating that the women’s tournament deserved the same respect as the men’s, Infantino chose to skip four matchdays of the ongoing Women’s World Cup. He has been posting on his Instagram account while in Tahiti, meeting the national Beach Soccer team. FIFA has not provided any information on when Infantino will return to the Women’s World Cup.
