Kylian Mbappe is reportedly looking to leave Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) for Real Madrid, but due to contractual complications, there is a possibility that he could end up in the Premier League instead. While PSG has granted permission for Mbappe to speak with Al Hilal following a £259m bid from the Saudi club, his future remains uncertain. With only one year remaining on his contract and his unwillingness to sign a new one, PSG is keen to find a deal this summer rather than losing him for free next year. Several clubs, including Tottenham, Chelsea, Manchester United, Inter Milan, and Barcelona, have expressed interest in signing Mbappe. However, it’s important to note that PSG has stated there is no Premier League club capable of matching the financial offer from Al Hilal. While Mbappe prefers a move to Real Madrid, if he stays with PSG, he stands to earn over £100m in wages and loyalty bonuses over the next year before joining Real Madrid next summer for a £160m signing fee and substantial wages.
It remains to be seen if Mbappe will be convinced to move to Saudi Arabia. While Al Hilal has been given permission to speak with him, there is no indication that Mbappe is interested in making that move at this stage of his career. Nonetheless, given the financial capabilities of Al Hilal’s owners, who recently acquired LIV Golf tour and made a substantial offer to Tiger Woods, it is conceivable that they could make a significant offer to Mbappe.
